Review: Redmi 2 Prime 16 GB


I purchased a Redmi 2 Prime 16 GB last month. It was smoothly delivered by Snapdeal with a bill dated 19th of September 2015 ( IMEI No 867935020560040). However, soon I realised that the internet function was not working on the phone. It was, however, working on wifi. I thought this must be either a fault with the sim card or service provider's fault. I contacted my service provider for the mobile data and spent long hour at the shop. The technician said this might be due to outdated software installed in the phone and i should contact the RedMi 2 service center for updating software. On 17th October 2015, i went to the local Red Mi service centre at Surat. After a long and arduous wait for about an hour, my  token number blinked on the digital screen and i was at the counter explaining my problem. the mobile was handed over to the tecnician who declared software issue. Receipt was handed back to me with a request to come back and collect the mobile later. My second trip to the service centre was yesterday (19-10-2015) to collect the phone. The scene at the data centre was pathetic (with net down and customers yelling). we were asked to wait. The wait prolonged. Finally with a lot of request the mobile was handed back to us. After reaching home, we found the problem was not solved. No internet in the phone, no browser opening, no google play store. Basically net function was not working. Today, again went back to the service centre. Again spent more than one and half hours ( 10.00 AM to 111.30 AM) and finally they said the phone will have to be deposited for some motherboard issue. Now, i suppose another one month wait. The experience has been horrible.
