Attached is a link to an article in Hindi that I wrote last year for 'deewan', a publication of Sarai,CSDS. This short essay is an attempt to narrate scopic regimes of a street in Delhi. For long, all we get in the context of Delhi is either about the old Delhi enveloped in its medieval legacies and pasts or description of localities frozen in one or another kinds of developmental discourses. This is an attempt to move away from not only these two locales but also to explore a street in non-positivist manner and to navigate different localities connected by this street. These localities are more in terms of images that people inhabit . These images are both located in physical spaces as well as terrains occupied by history and contemporariness of the city lives. Now, the article is also available on http://www.sarai.net/language/deewan/deewan02/deewan02.htm
